Alex Thomson
Alex Thomson is a qualified Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and an Affiliate member of the IMI. He headed up Sales Management teams for major Insurers and Brokers for over 30 years and began his compliance experience in 1985 with the introduction of regulation into the Life & Pensions Industry. When FSA regulation extended into the Motor Trade in 2005, he saw the opportunity to use his wide insurance and compliance knowledge and apply it to the many new rules. Alex is our FS compliance “guru”!!
Joy Thomson
Joy has played many roles throughout her career in general insurance; underwriter, claims manager, training manager being just a few of them. Married to and working with Alex she has become an expert in creating and delivering FS compliance solutions specifically for the retail motor trade. Her experience in amateur theatre provides the perfect base for creative, interactive training sessions on all compliance issues and processes. Joy is a people person who engages with her delegates whether it be on-line or in the training room, so there is no chance of “nodding-off” when she is around.
Neil Miller
Neil met Alex & Joy in 2007. He has worked in the retail motor industry for over 35 years and is a Fellow member of the IMI. He has worked with some of Scotland’s leading motor retailers in General Management roles and has also worked for FCA as a zone manager. Most recently he has spent the past 6 years working in the motor insurance services sector supplying regulated and non-regulated products to motor retailers for re-sale to consumers. He has worked with TTC for 2 years as a compliance auditor and has now been appointed as a Director. Neil is our man with insider knowledge!
